Important information for renters
To make sure that you get a good experience as a renter, it is important that you read about our rules and get familiar with your responsibility before you pick up your rented car.
Car condition
You the renter must be present when picking up the car. If an extra driver has been added to the booking, they are not allowed to pick up the car without you being present. Always remember to examine the condition of the car and verify your I.D. with the owner before receiving the car keys. Make sure to note any pre-existing damage in the rental contract, which is either on the owner’s app or printed by the owner. You are allowed to cancel the rental if you do not feel the car’s condition fits its description on amovens.com. Please contact Amovens support to cancel the rental.
Defects and damage
If there is a defect with the car, stop the car immediately and call Amovens or roadside assistance for help. Do not drive further if you are in doubt about the condition of the car. If the car is damaged during the rental please note as much information as possible about how the damage occurred since it will be needed for any insurance claims. We recommend taking pictures of any damage. For more information, click here.
Fuel
It is the renter's responsibility to refuel the car correctly and to the same fuel level as when the car was picked up. It is very important to check whether the car uses diesel or gasoline.
Returning the car
It is the renter’s responsibility to return the car in the same condition as it was received. Any new damage should be noted and described in the owner's rental contract before returning the keys. If the renter has driven more kilometers than agreed, returned the car with less fuel than agreed, or incurred toll fees on the car, these extra costs will be automatically charged to the renter's payment card based on input provided in the rental contract.
