How to view a rental’s fuel or battery readings
- Find the relevant rental
Navigate to Rentals, Completed, select the relevant booking.
- Open the Pick-up and return summary
At the bottom of the page beneath Your rental select Pick-up and return summary. This link is only revealed once the pick-up contract has been completed.
- View the details
You can view the readings related to the pick-up and return contract under the headings labeled Fuel level. If your car is not equipped with Keyless technology or if we could not automatically read the level you might see a View photo link too.
When to propose a fuel or battery adjustment
If you, as the owner, believe the renter’s reported pick-up or return readings are significantly incorrect you can propose an adjustment.
If you believe the fuel or battery values are wrong
- Claim as soon as possible
For the best chances of your claim being approved, submit it within 72 hours of the rental ending.
- Find the relevant rental
Navigate to Rentals, Completed, select the relevant booking and look for the New expense claim button at the top of the page. You can also find the relevant rental using your car’s Calendar on Your car(s).
- Submit an expense claim
Make sure you have any relevant photo evidence ready, then directly from the relevant booking, submit an expense claim. Read about how expense claims work here.
