Renters are required to pay for any parking tickets they are responsible for.
When you are liable for a parking ticket
As a renter you are responsible for parking tickets issued between the time you picked up the car and the time you returned it.
For Keyless rentals, you are also responsible for parking tickets received after the car was returned, until the next time the car is moved.
Tips to avoid parking tickets
- Refer to your rental’s parking page
During a rental you will find a full guide to parking by navigating to Rentals, selecting the relevant booking and selecting Parking info. Here you will find a map, instructions from the owner and Amovens, and information about whether the car has a private or public parking space.
- Don't assume you should return the car where you found it
Sometimes the previous renter might have parked the car in an illegal spot, so follow the parking instructions on the app and adhere to local parking regulations. Don’t assume you should return it where you found it.
- If the car has a manual parking disc
Set it to the current time of when you are leaving the car.
- Contact the owner
If you are in any doubt about where you should park the car.
